Description

The Pureflow AirDog II 5G 1 00GPH A7SPBD338 lift pump, or Fuel Preporator, is a must have upgrade for your 1989-1993 12V 5.9L Cummins. The fuel system on your Cummins mechanical or common rail, is the heart of the vehicle’s performance and reliability. This low pressure (preset at 10-13 psi) Cummins lift pump mounts to the inner frame rail using the supplied sandwich plate mounting system. The suction/fuel supply side connects directly up to the factory suction lines on the fuel module. The pressure side connects directly to the side of the VE-44 injection pump bypassing the block mounted mechanical factory pump and fuel filter housing.

The II-5G Cummins fuel pump features a fully adjustable (7-55psi) integrated diaphragm pressure regulator. This regulator offers more consistent fuel pressure and allows for higher flow rates at pressure. It can also be boost compensated to battle any pressure drops under open throttle (boost compensation kits sold seperately). The AirDog 5G also includes an updated 12 gauge wiring harness with Metri-Pack 280 connectors, which allows for higher current flow without creating excessive heat.

The AirDog 2 5G DF-100 Cummins lift pump will solve the infamous P0087 & P1093 low fuel rail pressure codes. This positive supply of purified fuel being fed to your injection pump will also add performance, throttle response, and longevity to your vehicle. Due to extra stress on your fuel system from either high mileage and/or additional performance modifications, like a tuner or larger injectors, your injection pump can become weak over time. This may result in a drop of performance, reliability, and fuel economy. The supplied water separator (WS100) and fuel filter (FF100-2), that mount to the pump, filter your fuel down to a 2 micron rating which surpasses the stock fuel filters filtration capability. Any fuel not used by the engine is simply recycled back to the tank, so it will never “over-fuel” your system.
